Daniel Tardif
Hey all, my name is Daniel Tardif, and I’m a contributor and webmaster here at FuglyCode. I have a Bachelors in Software Engineering, and have been professionally developing software for pretty much the past decade, although my experience with development and computers goes back far beyond that.
I was lucky enough to grow up with a father who worked in electronics. I remember him bringing me to his work, where I developed my facination for large computers, multimeters and oscilloscopes. I also remember the first computer he brought home – a good old commodore 64 – and how, as I played games on the computer, he told me that I too could create such games. My interest was peeked, and now I wanted more than ever to learn how software worked, and to create my own software.
A lot has happened to me between then and now (its been over 20 years!). If my experiences have taught me anything its that proven, responsible software development practices will allow your projects to run smoother, to be more adaptable to last minute changes, and to produce well rounded solutions. That’s what I hope to bring to the table as a contributor for FuglyCode.com.
